The White House unleashed another Republican bashing this week, although this time it didn’t come from Pres. Obama.
Instead, White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer led the rant.
In a Sept. 26 interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Pfeiffer attacked House Republicans for demanding compromise over raising the debt ceiling. Apparently calling for congressional compromise now marks Republicans as arsonists, hostage-takers and even, suicide bombers.
“What we’re not for is negotiating with people with a bomb strapped to their chest,” Pfeiffer said.
“Republicans are not asking for a negotiation. It’s a negotiation if I’m trying to sell you my house, and we are debating the price of it. It’s not a negotiation if I show up at your house and say, ‘Give me everything inside or I’m going to burn it down,” he added.
The Obama aide then claimed Republicans have a list of “ransom demands” taken from the Romney agenda.
